This is the button puzzle box. The button box takes 10 steps to open and although it’s not extremely hard, it can be quite tricky. To open the box you must push the buttons on the sides until you can slide off the lid. This box is ideal if you want to learn how to make a puzzle box yourself. This same mechanism could be used to make much more complex boxes.
I made a YouTube video for this puzzle box:
These are two reviews for this puzzle box:
The laser cut file for cutting the wood for this puzzle box has a square around it. This will allow you to easily scale the laser cut file for any wood thickness. I used 4 mm wood for making the puzzle box, and it resulted in a box which was 43x116x150 mm.
The squares around the two laser cut files are 450 by 275 mm for 4 mm wood. If you want to use another wood thickness, scale the laser cut file accordingly.
Besides the laser cut wood you will need:
- Sanding paper
