Description

This is a sequential mechanism puzzle box. I designed this puzzle to be produced in large quantities. It should become available in shops somewhere around 2024. However, you can make it yourself already! This puzzle consists of 3 different mechanisms which you need to solve in order to open the main compartment.

The laser cut file for cutting the wood for this puzzle box has a square around it. This will allow you to easily scale the laser cut file for any wood thickness. I used 4 mm wood for making the puzzle box, and it resulted in a box which was approximately 88 x 88 x 230 mm.
The square around the laser cut files is 450 by 275 mm for 4 mm wood. If you want to use another wood thickness, scale the laser cut file accordingly.

Besides the laser cut wood you will need:

  • a marble with a diameter of 10 mm (for 4mm wood. If you change the wood thickness, the marble should be between 2 and 3 times the wood thickness. 2,5 is ideal. For 3 mm wood I would recommend a 8 mm marble)

The laser cut files have three layers:
A layer for the outer square to scale the file (450 x 275 mm)
A layer for cutting.
A layer for line engraving.
